The first classes of the Third Student School on Modern Economics and Economic Research, launched by BEROC in cooperation with the British Embassy, started on September 14, 2013.
Ninety one applicants took part in two-round completion process and only nineteen students were selected to take part in the program this year, BEROC informs. The School was opened with the welcome words from Simon Beglin (British Embassy Minsk) and Irina Akelyeva (BEROC).
Let us recall that Belarusian Economic Research and Outreach Center (BEROC) in cooperation with the British Embassy Minsk have organized the school, which will be held in Minsk from September 14 to December 21, 2013.
The participants will be introduced to the courses in microeconomics, macroeconomics, and econometrics. Among the lectures there were BEROC economists who had obtained PhD both from leading Belarusian universities and abroad, as well as a visiting professor.
Participation in the Student School is free of charge. The project is held under the financial support of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency and the British Embassy Minsk.
