Vilnius became the third European capital where the presentation of “Arrhythmia, or the code of resistance” by Aliaksandr Tamkovich took place.
In the presentation that was held in the office of the International Consortium “EuroBelarus” took part the representatives of Belarusan and Lithuanian social associations as well as quests from other European countries. Before that, the presentations of “Arrhythmia, or the code of resistance” were introduced to the readers in Minsk and Warsaw.
As Aliaksandr Tamkovich explained at the presentation of the book in Vilnius, the book that comprises 38 profiles of Belarusan third sector leaders is written so as to tell the society about the people who uphold their civic stand no matter what. And considering that the contemporary Belarusan history tries to ignore outstanding compatriots who hold alternative political views, this literature is just indispensable.
According to Aliaksandr Tamkovich, the information about the leaders of Belarusan civil society is necessary not only within the country but outside it as well. That is why the author is hoping that the book “Arrhythmia, or the code of resistance” will be published in English before long.
