International NGO EuroBelarus and Belarusian Council for Culture are looking for candidates for positions of experts.

International Non-Governmental Organisation EuroBelarus and Belarusian Council for Culture are looking for a candidate for a number of positions in the EU-funded project “OCTOPUS: Education For Belarusian Children today and tomorrow”.

There are a significant number of educational initiatives and individual experts both in Belarus and in exile, in the non-state and informal spheres who have the necessary imperatives, knowledge and background to develop and implement changes in Belarusian education for children. The school education must be about both the implementation of contemporary content of education and democratic governance. The project “OCTOPUS is aimed to develop a consolidated community of thinkers, educators and education managers, capable of drafting a reform of education for children in Belarus, and to support the provision of up-to-date and identity-based education offers for Belarusian children both in Belarus and in exile.

The digital platform coordinator / content administrator

Indicative start date: October 2022.

Type of contract: 26 months consultancy contract.

Duty station: Vilnius, Lithuania.

Salary: 1000 euro as 50% duty level (incl. social tax)

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Overall coordination of the project activities related to creation and functioning of the digital learning platform.
  • In charge of creation, support, and promotion of a digital platform and its basic content.
  • In close coordination with the Platform developer (ICT service) develops and edits the texts, types and titles of headings, explanations, guides for users, etc.
  • Organisation of day-to-day functioning of the digital platform, setting tasks to the communication officer in its promotion, preparation of announcements for courses, lectures, master-classes, other online and offline events, including those within FSTP projects, running the calendar of events.
  • Organisation of procurement of authors of lessons, master classes and long-term education courses, their acquaintance with the digital online platform.
  • Organization, collecting and analyzing feedback, monitoring and evaluation of the platform’s activities.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Master's degree in humanity studies, education, management or other relevant discipline;
  • Good knowledge and proven work experience in formal or informal education;
  • Experience in events administration;
  • Strong ICT skills;
  • Team-leader skills;
  • Ability to work with and reconcile the views of diverse organisations and individuals;
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision with high level of resilience;
  • Ability to exercise the highest level of discretion and confidentiality in carrying out the duties;
  • Excellent knowledge of English and Belarusian.

Expert-methodologist of the e-platform

Salary: 2000 euro as 100% duty level (incl. social tax).

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Mentoring teachers, authors of educational materials.
  • Methodological assistance to authors and users of the digital platform (onboarding, assistance in placement of courses).
  • Tailored mentoring assistance to educational initiatives at the stage of projects’ preparation that they fit into the action’s expectations (produce relevant e-platform content);
  • Conducting ad hoc thematic webinars for teachers and sub-grantees on monthly base (24 webinars or online consultations).
  • Final acceptance of FSTP-developed teaching products for the placement on the platform, integration of developed curricula and methodologies into the overall digital platform activities.
  • Coordination of Education Reform Laboratories, conferences and workshops.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Scientific degree (Magister or PhD) in humanity studies, education, management or other relevant discipline;
  • Good knowledge and proven work experience in education field;
  • Experience in events administration;
  • Strong ICT skills;
  • Proven track record working with or as part of a civil society organisation;
  • Ability to function effectively in a geographically dispersed team
  • Ability to exercise the highest level of discretion and confidentiality in carrying out the duties;
  • Excellent knowledge of English and Belarusian.

  • Development and deploying a set of methodological and learning tools to help managers, educators and children working with the Platform;
  • Development of guides for teachers and parents;
  • Liaison with and integration of educational providers in exile and their courses into the platform activities;
  • Tailored methodological and didactic assistance to educational providers in exile, their mentoring;
  • Task management, procurement, implementation and supervision of research and studies component, delivery of results to the target groups.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Scientific degree (Magister or PhD) in humanity studies, education, management or other relevant discipline;
  • Good knowledge and proven work experience in education field;
  • Experience in events administration;
  • Strong ICT skills;
  • Proven track record in research and analytics;
  • Ability to function effectively in a geographically dispersed team;
