We
cordially invite you to take part in the conference “Visa policy in
the context of the EU and Belarus relations: the current situation and
prospects”, which will take place on 22 June 2009 in the conference
hall of Crowne Plaza Minsk at the address: 13, Kirov St. Within the
framework of the initiative of the Eastern Partnership, it is planned
to liberalize the visa regime between the partner countries and the
countries of the European Union. However, during this transition to
new forms of interaction, it is necessary to take into account the specificity
of the country, the current condition of its visa regime, and to carry
out an estimation of a degree of its readiness for transformations.
During
the conference,
there will be a presentation of the final report on the results of the monitoring and comparative analysis
of the EU visa policy and issue of visas in Ukraine,
the Republic of Moldova, the Russian Federation, and
the Republic of Belarus. The monitoring was carried out in October
- November 2008. During the conference, questions of concrete forms
and variants of possible solutions for liberalization of the visa regime
for the Republic of Belarus will be discussed.
Employees
of consular and visa services of the countries of the European Union,
experts in the sphere of the foreign policy and international relations,
journalists of the state-run and independent mass media, and travel
agencies are invited to participate in the conference.
