Abgar Yeghoyan passed away on December 24, 2010

To our deepest sorrow we have to inform that Abgar Yeghoyan, the President of “Protection of Consumers’ Rights” NGO passed away on December 24, 2010.
 
He had a brain surgery a couple of days ago and fell into coma for 2 days. He was not able to overcome and died this morning.

Abgar Yeghoyan was born on December 24, 1964. In 1985 he graduated from Yerevan National Institute of Economy.

In 1996 he established and managed the Protection of Consumers’ Rights NGO.

Recently he was elected as a National Coordinator of Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum.

He had numerous bright ideas that he was excited about but they unfortunately remained unfulfilled due to his unexpected death.

We were shocked and very much upset to get the terrible news today!

Let me first of all on behalf of all Steering Committee members of the EaP Civil Society Forum express our deepest sorrow for the sad news of the passing away of our colleague and friend Abgar Yeghoyan, the President of “Protection of Consumers’ Rights” NGO.

Abgar was a wonderful and kind man, talented and inspiring leader, reliable partner and colleague. What he has left is his personal respective reputation, well known nongovernmental organization, circle of friends and colleagues in Armenia and abroad.

Abgar Yeghoyan was recently elected as a National Coordinator of Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum and we had a lot of plans and ideas for joint implementation during the next year. Unfortunately we won’t be able to do it together with Abgar anymore.

Please, pass our deepest condolences to Abgar’s family. We will keep the memory of him in our hurts!
