General Valery Frolau called upon opposition forces for consolidation once again; this time around Uladzimir Niakliaeu, the leader of “Tell the Truth!” campaign.
In the talk with the EuroBelarus Information Service Valery Frolau admitted that he is not sure that opposition politicians would somehow react to his appeal placed at the website of “Belarusian Partyzan”:
“I don’t have absolute certainty that the opposition is capable of consolidation. Every one worries about his own fortune, and, unfortunately, politics has turned into the way to survive. It is never late to appeal; the reaction is another story. But otherwise they’ll say something like “no one has appealed to us”.
The General is not afraid to look like the contrarian due to his appeal. “I am the contrarian anyway. I am a public enemy and brute for the authorities, as well as for many opposition leaders, though I am on quite friendly personal terms with some of them. Still, when it comes to politics, I am more of a black ship”, - Valery Frolau told.
God forbid an unorganized desperate mass of people take to the streets
Such attitude of oppositionists the former deputy of the House of Representatives explained with the fact that these politicians are used to being addressed “Your majesty” - in the same way as the President Lukashenka is; however, many people are fed up with this cheap politics, full of mistakes and defeats.
In his article Valery Frolau allowed for the possibility that the situation in Belarus will be developed in accordance with the Iraqi, Libyan and Syrian scenario. From where is this gloomy forecast coming?
“People are used to follow some power; they are tired of Aliaksandr Lukashenka the same way they are tired of opposition forces with their slogans. I hope that we won’t end up in revolution, as it brings no good to people. God forbid an unorganized desperate mass of people take to the streets”.
Why Valery Frolau is dissatisfied with Niakliaeu?
Why is it Uladzimir Niakliaeu whom Valery Frolau has set his choice on, not some other opposition politician?
“I know all these guys, so I can compare. And I respect many of them. Niakliaeu doesn’t practice politicking and makes far fewer mistakes. I believe that he is the man who has logical and well-reasoned assessment of the situation”, - the General gave his evaluation.
“Unfortunately, we have lots of political scientists, but few men of action, - continued Valery Frolau. – I believe that referendum on some topical problem is a good way to cheer up the people; however, everyone except Niakliaeu didn’t even consider this legal way to unite people”.
