Belarusan embassy in Kiev gets a lot of phone calls from Ukrainians, who dream about Belarus

Dzmitry Mironchyk, spokesman for the Belarusan foreign ministry, told reporters about the abundance of inquiries from Ukrainian citizens about the possibility of moving to Belarus on April 17.
He said that the Ukrainians sought more information about the rules of entering and moving to Belarus. Asked to specify how many Ukrainians had moved to Belarus or applied for asylum in the country in connection with Ukraine's political turmoil, Dzmitry Mironchyk referred the reporters to Belarus' migration authorities.
As EuroBelarus Information Service has reported, earlier Belarusan Foreign Ministry abstained from giving comments about Ukraine. However, on April 13 Lukashenka said that Belarus is ready to welcome refugees from Ukraine if necessary. “We draw definite conclusions that refugees may come to our country as there are already some thousands of names on the lists (of those who already are in Belarus),” Belarusan President said then.
He said Belarus would likely face economic tightening not only as a result of the coronavirus pandemic but also a Russian trade oil crisis that worsened this past winter.
