Poroshenko: I will sign a decree granting Belarusans Ukrainian citizenship; they passed the test

Ukraine President announced his intention to do so on 2 December, speaking in the Verkhovna Rada.
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko will sign a decree granting Ukrainian citizenship to foreigners who are fighting for Ukraine against the Russian aggression. He stated this on Tuesday, speaking in the Verkhovna Rada, Euroradio informs.
"I want to say hello to my brothers in fighting: your appeal to the President of Ukraine concerning Ukrainian citizenship for Belarusans, Russians, who up in arms defended the honor and independence of the state ... As I promised, I will sign a decree granting them Ukrainian citizenship, they have passed the test," claims Poroshenko.
Starting from late spring-early summer of 2014, dozens of Belarusans have been fighting as part of Ukrainian volunteer battalions against militants in the Donbas.
