Grants are available for civil society organisations monitoring the effectiveness of government allocation and public service delivery.
The grants are supported by Partners in Empowerment, an EU-funded project led by PASOS (Policy Association for an Open Society). The project focuses on 5 EaP countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Moldova, Ukraine). Capacity mentoring will be offered to grantees by experienced CSOs, as well as webinars on capacity development and monitoring methodologies.
The budget per project under this Call is between €10,000 and €30,000. The deadline for applications is 20 September 2015. Projects should be implemented between November 2015-July 2016. Applications can be submitted in English or in Russian.
Eligible organisations: not-for-profit, civil society organisations, with particular emphasis on local CSOs (non-registered organisations will also be eligible depending on the current legal framework enabling registration of independent CSOs).
Eligible activities: Actions by CSOs that monitor effectiveness of allocation of public resources in terms of budget allocations, public service delivery and policy outcomes. Initiatives should include strong grassroots engagement and public outreach to enhance public accountability.
