The Flying University announced its educational program for 2015-2016

On November 5, 2015 enrollment for a new educational program of the Flying University has opened. Its public presentation is going to take place in Minsk on November 13.

The Flying University is not a usual educational institution. We are creating a community of those for whom “Thinking” and “Belarus” are not mere guiding lines, but also main challenges for practice and life.

This year the educational program of the Flying University witnessed considerable innovations. Over the five years of work we got not only big experience and broad audience; we have been searching for a new content of education that corresponds to the idea of a modern University. In this direction we are carefully observing the phenomenon of “game”. We are playing in the University, we are building it as our area of thinking, which allows us to create new meanings, search for answers to causal questions.

Schools of Masters of Game will create an additional step in the education structure of the Flying University.

We know Magister ludi from books by Hermann Hesse. Today in Belarus we have to find our own solution, our form of thinking and way of life.

Schools of Masters of Game are intended for small groups that will be engaged in intellectual work together in close communication with teachers – Belarusan thinkers and intellectuals.

All schools will last for two and a half years: from February 2016 till May 2018.

Each of them presupposes its own program that will include both mastering general courses of the Flying University as well as work in individual formats, particular for each school.

Schools of Masters of Game:

History of ideal school headed by Ihar Babkou;

Methodological school headed by Uladzimir Matskevich and Tatsiana Vadalazhskaja;

School of the Great Duchy of Lithuania headed by Aleh Dziarnovich;

School of social and philosophical analytics organized by the “Belarusan philosophical area” community.

Whom we are waiting in the Schools of Masters of Game?

Each school is establishing its own circle of experts, who are offered an “advanced” level and cooperation in a given direction. General requirements are ambitions and readiness for a new type of education.

How to get there?

Schools of Masters of Game presuppose strict selection and formation of small working groups. Each school will be selecting candidates based on special criteria related to the topics and types of intellectual work. After your application is received, an administrator will contact you and agree on a time for an interview.

What’s in result?

In case of successful graduation the students will be titled as “Masters of Game”, which will start a new generation of thinkers and creators of Belarus.

The new program of the Flying University also includes its traditional educational format – the courses, which create area for individual movement following a free path.

This year 8 courses are included in the program. The courses will be organized from February to June 2016.

The courses are open for everyone who is looking for new senses, has questions and problems, who is ready for changes inside oneself and in the world. There are no limits as to age, education or profession.

In order to become a listener of the courses, one should submit an application.

After finishing courses you won’t get diplomas or certificates; however, you might find your Teacher or “your circle”, which will become an important step in your life or educational path.

If you want to take part in the new program of the Flying University you need to send your application before December 5, 2015.

You can get more details about the new opportunities of the educational program during the presentation that will take place on November 13, 2015.

See you!
