Do unexpected,
Do, what cannot be,
Do as no one does, –
And then you’ll win.
Uladzimir Karatkevich
Those, who are familiar with the Flying University not only from one-time events, know that during the whole period of its existence (which is more than 5 years!) our university is in constant search for new forms and methods of organization of thinking and new content of education – the one that corresponds to the idea of a modern University most. This is why every following program announced by the Flying University is not similar to the previous one: keeping good university traditions we also surprise the audience with unexpected innovations.
New program has two different levels of education.
The “first level” of a new program includes the traditional educational format of the Flying University –courses. These courses are open for those, who are looking for new senses, have questions and problems, and are ready for changes inside themselves and in the world. There are no limits as to age, education or profession. This year 8 courses are included in the program with famous Belarusan intellectuals and cultural actors as lecturers: Uladzimir Matskevich, Mihal Amnepadystau, Iryna Dubianetskaja, Genadz Saganovich, Mihal Bajaryn, Ihar Babkou, Paval Barkouski, and Viachaslau Babrovich. The courses will be organized from February to June 2016. The courses create area for individual movement following a free path.
The “second level”, which is given particular attention to, will be represented by the Schools of Masters of Game – a new educational format of the Flying University.
Schools of Masters of Game are intended for small groups that will be engaged in intellectual work together in close communication with teachers – Belarusan thinkers and intellectuals:
History of ideal school headed by Ihar Babkou;
Methodological school headed by Uladzimir Matskevich and Tatsiana Vadalazhskaja;
School of the Great Duchy of Lithuania headed by Aleh Dziarnovich;
All schools will last for two and a half years: from February 2016 till May 2018.
Each of them presupposes its own program that will include both mastering general courses of the Flying University as well as work in individual formats, particular for each school.
But what are these schools notable for? What principles are they based on, what are the selection criteria, requirements, and conditions for participation? What is awaiting participants in result – what are the benefits? Who are “Masters of Game? And who will get this degree in the Flying University?
In order to know more details about the concept and structure of a new program, to get acquainted with the basis, principles, content of lecture courses and Schools of Masters of Game, in order to feel the wonderful atmosphere of intellectual surroundings, and talk with the lecturers of courses and heads of schools informally –
we invite you to the presentation of a new program of the Flying University, which is to take place on November 13, Friday, in “Imaguru” club (Minsk, Fabritsyus str.4). The presentation starts at 18.30. Admission is free!
