Belarusian thinking is the nation’s self-understanding, ways of understanding its nature and purpose, search for identity at the crossroads of cultural influences and traditions.
Over the last year we saw a series of events that have been publicly and widely representing Belarusian thinking as a part of our culture and identity. This is the company "Quote Your Own!", publication of the anthology of Belarusian thinking "The Code of Presence", the announcement of the essay competition "Intellectual heritage of Belarus: personas, ideas, and contexts."
"A Week of Belarusian Thinking" aims at presenting a variety of forms and manifestations of Belarusian thinking in the modern Belarusian society, inclusion of intellectual achievements in contemporary culture and identity, as well as the development of the relations between the intellectual community with other actors in a broad public process.
The organizers invite to celebrate the presence and the importance of thinking for the Belarusian society with a series of events for the general public and the media. We invite non-governmental organizations, research and cultural communities and initiatives, business organizations, intellectuals and experts to participate in the development and implementation of the activities during the Week.
