Archbishop Monsignor Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz: The Birth of Christ is our present
25.12.2013 |Society| EuroBelarus Information Service,
Belarusian Roman Catholic Archbishop of Minsk and Mahilou sends his greetings on the Nativity of Christ.
- The Nativity of Christ is more than an event from our history that happened in Bethlehem more than two thousand years ago; it is our present. It is the present of our life, and the reality of our life. So I wish you all, brethren and sisters, to listen attentively to the knock of our Catholic church – and by its teaching – to the knock to our hearts. So that the story, which happened in Bethlehem, when there was no place for Jesus, would never happen again. For us to open our hearts, our souls for Him; so that He is born there, so that our hearts become the Bethlehems of our modern times. And for Jesus to bring peace to the world, to our society.
