On the night of May 17 the most lively, eventful and striking Night of Museum was held in the Belarusan capital.
Is it the sequence of festivals and holidays, which have recently been taking place in Minsk or the World Ice Hockey Championship or the love to history and culture that have awakened Minsk citizens, but in any way, but the Night of Museums that was held on the night of May 17 turned to be a success, as so many people had never gathered for it before.
About midnight, central streets were crowded with people. Museums were gathering unusually long queues.
The National Art Museum suggested traveling in the “Time labyrinths”, offering nonlinear perception of time and space, where painting could be heard. In front of the museum one had an opportunity to listen to the live music: Piotr Kluev’s jazz band, blues played by Big Daddy Blues band and cabaret band “Serebryanaya Svad’ba” (“The silver wedding”).
Programs in other museums were not so large-scale, and the Night of Museums ended earlier there. Thus, in the National Historical Museum the “Museum of Conscious” started at 7 p.m. and at midnight the visitors could only see the exposition and dance in the museum’s patio. However, there were a lot of people willing to do that.
At the same time, the prices for entry tickets varied from 20 thousand Belarusan rubles up to two hundred thousand, which was confusing – the Night of Museums is free of charge in many European countries.
