Belarusan girl Katsyaryna Buraya, 23 year old, has won the top title at the annual international beauty pageant Miss Supranational 2012 that took place in Warsaw, Poland on September 14.
The contest is run by run World Beauty Association. The contest was founded in 2009 by World Beauty Association in Płock, Poland, is currently run by WBA.
In total 20 girls made it to the semifinal; altogether the representatives of 53 countries took part in the competition. The representatives of Spain, Puerto Rico, South Africa, England, Honduras, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Canada, Panama, Poland, Costa Rica, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Island, France and Suriname also participated in the semifinal, the Telegraph reported.
The second place went to Nanthawan Wannachutha from Thailand, the third one to Michaela Dihlova from the Czech Republic, the fourth one to Elaine Kay Moll from Philippines, the fifth one to Sulay Castillo from Ecuador.
Miss Supranational Africa was awarded to Michelle Giden-Huys from South Africa. The most beautiful girl of both Americas is Elissa Estrada from Panama, and of Asia – Lại Hương Thảo from Vietnam. Whereas, Europe’s beauty is Julia Prokopenko from Denmark.
Katsyaryna Buraya comes from the town of Babruisk. This year she graduated from Minsk State Linguistic University, acquiring a diploma in intercultural relations in the area of tourism. Katsyaryna is fond of Gabriel Garcia Marquez. She is keen on sport, recently has started boxing. She was a finalist at the National Beauty Contest “Miss Belarus 2008”.
Miss Supranational is one of the top three beauty contests. For quite some time the pageant was held exclusively in Latin America. However, in 2009 the competition has moved to Europe and it has been held in Europe only since then.
