Assessing the risks of corruption and potential weaknesses in Armenia’s income and declaration system asseting, identifying areas for action (regulatory, organizational, training, etc.) will be held.
The Council of Europe Facility Project on Good Governance and Fight against Corruption, Eastern Partnership long-term adviser together with another expert of the Council of Europe will be holding meetings with various stakeholders (including civil society and international organizations’ representatives) under the country’s risk assessment activities in Yerevan on 21-23 November.
The regional conference on risk assessment will take place in Chisinau, Moldova, at the beginning of 2013, where an assessment report is due to be presented, containing an analysis of the Armenia’s system and recommendations for its further improvement, contributing to a regional study on typologies of underlying causes of corruption.
This activity is a part of the regional activity on risk assessment through which underlying causes of corruption will be identified in a particular sector of the each Eastern Partnership country.
On March 1, 2011, the Eastern Partnership / Council of Europe Facility was launched in order to enhance good governance and strengthen the capacities of the public administration and criminal justice sector in order to effectively prevent and fight corruption in line with the Council of Europe Conventions and other international treaties.
