Opening of a Chamber Music Festival in Nesvizh

The major events of the Thirteenth Republican Festival of the Chamber Music “Muse of Nesvizh-2008” are dedicated to the 600 Anniversary of the Belavezhskaya Pushcha and will take place on 15-17 May in Nesvizh.
One of the organizers of
the Festival is the National Orchestra of Symphonic and Popular Music headed by
the People’s Artist, Laureate of the State Award, professor Mikhail Finberg.
The press-attache of Mr.
Finberg, Ms. Lidia Peresypkina, informed BELTA that the programme of the event
previewed holding a scientific conference, a musical assembly of brass band
performers and an opening of an art exhibition. The central event of the
Festival would be a concert of the Chamber bands of the Orchestra of Symphonic
and Popular Music of Belarus “Music of Belaya Vezha”, performing the best
pieces of the Belarusian music starting from the 15th century. The
festival in Nesvizh will be closed by a gala-concert of the National Orchestra
of Symphonic and Popular Music headed by maestro Mikhail Finberg.
Minsk Oblast Drama Theatre
based in Molodechno will take part in the Festival, as well as hunter’s music
band “Bekas” from Drogichin, famous musicians, artists and scientists.
On 31 May the Sixth Art Celebration
“Mir Castle-2008” will open in Mir. Traditional scientific readings and
concerts of chamber bands will take place in the House of Culture and for the
first time a concert will be held in the Cathedral in Mir. The inhabitants of
Karelichi town will also be able to take part in the celebration. The Orchestra
will stage a performance for them with participation of the best solo artists
and laureates of International and Republican competitions. The May improvisations
of the Orchestra will leave bright and unforgettable impressions from hearing
the best artistic heredity of the past and the present.
