Belarus might be invited to the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine

“If one takes a look at the general contour of the three countries on the map, it would be obvious that Belarus is part of the region, however it doesn’t have representatives in the most of the regional and European organizations”, said Mr. Jurshenas. The politician thinks that three-lateral Assembly is open for cooperation with other countries, including Belarus. Mr. Jurshenas stressed that “everyone is interested that the Parliament, which would be elected in September in Belarus would be viewed as legitimate”. “I propose to agree upon the targeted activities in the name of Belarusian democracy”, stated the Head of the Lithuanian Parliament.

The Head of the Senate of the Polish Parliament, Bogdan Borusewicz, in his turn expressed hope that representatives from the opposition would be granted access to the Parliamentary elections in Belarus.
