Children’s regional rehabilitation centre in Zelva calls for assistance

We
were addressed by the staff of Zelva regional Centre for Correctional and Development Education and Rehabilitation with a request to provide with
assistance to the Centre and its children.
Four kids with serious and
multiple development deviations (children with Down’s Syndrome and Cerebral Paralyses)
are undergoing rehabilitation in the Centre, 30 kids are receiving complex
correctional assistance. Moreover, there are 278 children with psychological
and physical development deviations in the region and 72 handicapped children
under patronage of the experts of the Centre.
The letter from the staff
of the Centre says:
“We are addressing you with a request to support us and to provide with
available financial assistance to our Centre in order to create proper
conditions and to purchase equipment for correction and rehabilitation, special
purpose furniture for children, suffering from Children’s Cerebral Paralyses,
as well as to equip Centre with rails, stairs for handicapped and a lift for
wheel-chairs we were planning to install in a bus.
Younger children (0 to 3 years old) need to have a specially
equipped room for the early complex assistance. Children with serious and
multiple development disorders need a special room for social and choral
adaptation so that they could help themselves to take care of themselves which
would be crucial for their life in the future. It all requires great financial
input and resources we do not have.
