The Belarusian National Platform for the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum was established in July 2010 and has become a joint platform for consolidation and coordination of actions of the civil society organizations in Belarus. Nowadays the Belarusian National Platform faces the challenges of determining the principles, objectives and priorities of its activity; the current development strategy choice, formation of governing bodies, the procedure for participation and decision-making mechanisms.

We would like to invite you to participate in the Conference of the Belarusian National Platform for the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum: "Civil society of Belarus: on the eve of the third annual meeting of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum" which will be held on 29^th of October, 2011 in Minsk. The Conference will focus on the conceptual and strategic alternatives for development of the Belarusian National Platform and its further institutionalization, as well as preparation of the Belarusian delegation for the third meeting of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum in Poznan (November 28-30, 2011).

The Conference participants will adopt a joint Memorandum of Mutual Understanding on October the 29^th, 2011, which will secure the basic principles, values and objectives for the Belarusian National Platform activity. The Memorandum will be open for signature by all stakeholders of civil society in the country. Organizations that will have signed the Memorandum, will gain the status of permanent members of the Belarusian National Platform for the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum. To ensure further activity and institutional capacity of the National Platform, on the Conference there will also be elected the Interim Steering Committee, whose full powers will be effective upon the signing of the Memorandum and till the next plenipotentiary meeting of the Belarusian National Platform members.

To participate in the Conference, you should send a completed Application form to the e-mail address of the Steering Committee csfbelarus@gmail.com until October the 23^th, 2011.

In view of the limited number of places, persons who do not send Application forms until the deadline will not be able to participate in the Conference. Please also note that travel and accommodation expenses of participants are not covered.
