Dmitry Klevzhits, Director of the National Investment and Privatization Agency, told today that more than 100 participants have already registered at the agency website which was opened a month ago.

Foreign investors make up more than 70% of the total amount, and the Belarusan Investment Forum is expecting this year about 500 participants, BelTA reports. At the previous investment forums, Dmitry Klevzhits highlighted, the investors and other participants ratio was 50/50.
As an evidence of investors’ interest, Dmitry Klevzhits added that about $661 million foreign direct investment was put into in the country’s economy in the first half of 2012, over 60% of the funds were reinvested profits. This shows “a very good result“ as when a company with foreign investments reinvests its profits it shows that an investor understands that this is the market where he can grow.
