As BelTA informs, the President stressed that Belarus will continue its social policy aimed at helping and supporting all those who need it. “We will help the people who are really in need. Those who can work but do not do this please take no offence. We will make you work”.
According to Lukashenka, Belarus will continue its well-balanced peaceful policy, but “we will not give away our land. This is our soil and it is for our people, our children.”
The head of state also noted that the new year would be as difficult as the previous one: “It is not because we cannot work and not because we cannot see or do anything. The world changes. It is difficult to adjust to the changing world. The things we have today will be different tomorrow. We, as a big ship in this huge sea, are trying to keep afloat. It is hard for us to stick to the course we have chosen. However, the course we have determined for ourselves will remain sacred. It is the protection of human rights and the creation of necessary conditions for people's decent life. Please do not listen to all the current talking as difficult times always give rise to various theories such as reforming, destroying what have been created and building something absolutely new”.
“We have a lot of good things. We always get rid of bad things. We will live this way and will improve all the good we create. Everything the people created will not be sold for a song.” “We will not do this. Everything that was created by people should belong to people, - stated the head of state. – We see what has happened there where everything was divided: oligarchs made their appearance, armed themselves and started fighting against each other, involving ordinary people, the whole society. Do we need this? No.”
According to his words, “we will adopt and rest upon all the best and valuable things this world possesses.”
