On January 18 an unauthorized action of solidarity with individual entrepreneurs “I am an individual entrepreneur” took place in downtown Minsk.
About 30 people gathered at 12:00 near the Red Church in Minsk – individual entrepreneurs and oppositionist headed by Anatoly Liabedzka, the leader of the United Civic Party.
After a short rally, the group of its participants went to Government House to pass a list of proposals on creating conditions for the development of small and medium businesses and new job formation. In addition, the list of proposals includes cancellation of obligatory certification of goods and, consequently, the need to obtain accompanying documents. The officials accepted the list and promised to give a response within 15 days, Belsat informs.
As the “EuroBelarus” Information Service earlier informed, starting from 1 January 2016 the Decree No.222 came into force. This Decree bans selling products of light industry, imported from the countries of the Customs Union without the accompanying documents. At the same time, the majority of Russian suppliers refuse to issue documents on the origin of products or provide fake certificates, which leads to fines and confiscation of goods from the Belarusian individual entrepreneurs.
