This measure is introduced in the wake of terrorist attacks in Brussels. Belarus Foreign Ministry recommended Belarusians avoid public places and not use public transport while in Brussels.
"Border control measures have been stepped up. Close attention is paid to those who are entering the Republic of Belarus," said Alexander Tishchenko, Press Secretary of the State Border Committee of Belarus, Shanghai Daily informs.
Belarusian President Aliaksandra Lukashenka has expressed condolences to King Philippe of Belgium, the people of Belgium, families and friends of the victims of the terrorist attacks in Brussels, the press service of the Belarusian leader said.
"It is with big pain that people in Belarus have learned the news about numerous victims of the terrorist attacks which hit Brussels on 22 March," the message of condolences read.
