On June 8 the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has presented Belarus with the note concerning the possible incident at the Belarusian nuclear power plant.
On 21-22 June expert consultations regarding the construction of the Astravets NPP will take place in Vilnius, Dmitry Mironchyk, Head of the Information Office, Press Secretary of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, informed.
“On the one hand, competent Belarusian agencies gave their answers even before we received this note. On 3 June Vladimir Makei clearly outlined our stance and highlighted the key points in response to Lithuanian complaints about the construction of the Belarusian nuclear power plant,” BelTA quotes Dmitry Mironchyk saying.
“Expert consultations will take place in Vilnius on 21-22 June. During the consultations we will be ready to discuss the entire range of matters concerning the nuclear power plant, including the choice of the construction site location and construction progress.”
Lithuania has repeatedly voiced its concerns over the security at the Belarusian NPP.
