The action of solidarity with Belarus started at 1 p.m. in Maidan of Independence to mark the 3rd anniversary of Square dispersal in Minsk.
The participants of the action unfolded a big Belarusian flag while Belarusian and Ukrainian politicians were holding speeches from the stage, reports Euroradio. After that, the column of activists moved to the Belarusian Embassy in Kyiv, where the assembly took place. Activists passed an appeal with a demand to release all Belarusian political prisoners and hold free elections to the Embassy.
The event is organized by the Belarusian Center in Ukraine and the Ukrainian Committee on Political Prisoners Release.
