Deputy chairman of the UCP Leu Marholin fears that after the official warning the liquidation of the party can be initiated.
The details are yet unknown. However, UCP leadership does not exclude that the authorities may adopt a decision to initiate liquidation of the party in a judicial procedure: “as far as I understand, the warning related to the activity of the UCP during the local election campaign,” - deputy chairman of the UCP Leu Marholin said.
According to the press service of the UCP, the chairman of the United Civil Party Anatol Liabedzka has scheduled a special press conference on this issue at 12.00 on Tuesday, April 8.
Let us recall that earlier, during the local election campaign, the leader of the opposition United Civic Party has been sentenced to 15 days in jail for taking part in an unlawful public gathering and minor hooliganism.
As RFE/RL reported, two associates of Anatol Liabedzka were sentenced to 10 days in jail on the same charges on March 17.
