Belarus’ unalterable leader is sure that he has inexplicable connection with his people, and that is the reason why people supported him and forget his mistakes.
If Lukashenka abstains from taking part in the election it would come as a shock for people.
During the press conference for Russian regional mass media Aliaksandr Lukashenka made an interesting statement about his professional predetermination.
“I don't want to say I have achieved that, but the president and the nation enjoy a certain link that I am not going to describe. When you talk, people understand you and accept you right away, - he admitted. –This trait has to be part of the person from birth. If the nation elects such a person, they will always support him or her and forgive his or her mistakes. I don't mean myself. It is my conclusion after carefully examining the matter.”
Lukashenka stated he is ready to participate in the presidential election campaign, as there are no reasons not to do that.
But he emphasized one more time that he is not planning to appoint the election on March 2015 as he was earlier suggested. “I've heard suggestions to hold the election in March, but it would be unfair. Regardless of the turn of events the presidential election in Belarus will take place in October-November 2015,” – the official leader said.
According to him, if he abstains from participating in the election it would come as a shock for everyone. Besides, he is afraid that the constructed model of social and political way of life might be ruined.
