Belarus respects the choice of Ukrainians regarding early parliamentary election in Ukraine

This statement the press service of the Belarusan Foreign Ministry issued on October 28.
“We hope that the new parliament elected in such difficult conditions, will do everything possible to resume comprehensive national dialogue, preserve the unity of Ukraine and further progressive development of the fraternal country with which Belarus has centuries of common history”, is said at the official portal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“We respect the choice made by the Ukrainian electorate, - is underlined in the statement. – Belarus is ready to continue comprehensive constructive cooperation with its neighbour and contribute to the successful continuation of the peace process in Ukraine”.
As EuroBelarus Information Service already informed, on October 26, 2014 early parliamentary elections were held in Ukraine. Uladzimir Matskevich, the head of the Board of the International Consortium “EuroBelarus”, and Ukrainian political expert Sergey Daciuk commented upon the results of the Ukrainian parliamentary election.
He said Belarus would likely face economic tightening not only as a result of the coronavirus pandemic but also a Russian trade oil crisis that worsened this past winter.
