A package of documents on a number of avenues of Belarusian-Moldovan cooperation is expected to be signed in Minsk.
Moldova President Nicolae Timofti will be in Belarus on 16-17 July on an official visit, informs BelTA.
In Minsk the Moldova President is expected to meet with Belarus President Aliaksandr Lukashenka for private negotiations and expanded participation negotiations. Apart from that, Nicolae Timofti is expected to meet with Prime Minister of Belarus Andrei Kabiakou, Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Mihail Miasnikovich, and Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Uladzimir Andreichanka. A package of documents on a number of avenues of Belarusian-Moldovan cooperation is expected to be signed in presence of the heads of state in Minsk.
Judging by the Moldovan delegation (Deputy Prime Minister, Economy Minister Stephane Bride, Agriculture and Food Industry Minister Ion Sula, Transport and Road Infrastructure Minister VasileBotnari, Governor (Bashkan) of Gagauzia Irina Vlah, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova Vladimir Didilica, Chisinau Vice Mayor Nistor Grozavu, President of the Supreme Court of Moldova Mihai Poalelungi), the visit will be of economic character.
During his visit to Moldova on 24-25 September 2014 Aliaksandr Lukashenka said that Belarus' manufacturing cooperation with Moldova for the sake of entering third-country markets and the European Union and raising the bilateral trade turnover looked promising. Aliaksandr Lukashenka also pointed out that projects to assemble Belarusian agricultural machines and trolleybuses in Moldova were already in progress, with the assembly of buses in the pipeline.
He said Belarus would likely face economic tightening not only as a result of the coronavirus pandemic but also a Russian trade oil crisis that worsened this past winter.
