OSCE inspects the 116 Guards Ground Attack Airbase, Air Force and Air Defence of Belarus

The inspectors will be informed about the function and actual activity of the military units, as well as familiarize themselves with the main examples of weapons and military equipment.

On 24-25 May, the representatives of OSCE member states from 26 countries are visiting the 116 Guards Ground Attack Airbase, Air Force and Air Defence and 103 Guards Independent Mobile Brigade, Special Operations Forces under the 2011 Vienna Document on Confidence- and Security-Building Measures.

The event involves 49 representatives from 26 countries (Belgium, Canada, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Ukraine, the United States).

The participants will be informed about the function and actual activity of the military units, as well as familiarise themselves with the main examples of weapons and military equipment.

On 23 May, representatives of the Defence Ministry held a series of briefings for the participants on Belarusian defence policy, structure and tasks of the Belarusian Armed Forces, as well as key lines of the Armed Forces’ development, the press service of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Belarus informs.
