The Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum announced the final selection of participants for its annual event in Stockholm on 29-30 November, hosted by the Swedish Foreign Ministry.
202 organizations have been selected by the EaP CSF Steering Committee out of the 583 applications to participate, according to the eligibility guidelines. The shortlists were drawn by the countries’ coordinators in conjunction with the national platforms, the working groups’ coordinators, EU facilitators, and the European Union delegations in the six Eastern Partnership countries. The selection was finalized following agreement with the European External Action Service.
45% of the Forum participants did not attend the 2011 event in Poznan thus the goal of getting 40% new participants compared with the 2011 Forum was achieved.
The Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum (EaP CSF) aiming to support the development of civil society organizations and facilitate their dialogue with public authorities, was established in 2009 following the Prague Summit which launched the initiative. The first EaP CSF took place in Brussels on 16-17 November 2009.
