Almost all Venezuelans in Belarus vote for Maduro

53 people out of 56 preferred the pro-government candidate. Only one person voted for Capriles.

On the whole, 63 people had a right to vote in Belarus. Venezuelan Ambassador to Belarus Americo Diaz Nunez has said this at a press-conference in Minsk.

Let us recall that Nicolás Maduro, loyalist of the deceased President Hugo Chávez, got 50,66%, while the opposition candidate Henrique Capriles got 49,07% and was announced the winner. Henrique Capriles does not recognize the election results.

Belarusan state leader has greeted Nicolás Maduro who was elected President of Venezuela. Aliaksandr Lukashenka invited Nicolas Maduro to pay an official visit to Belarus at any time convenient for him. "I think that the visit will give an impetus to the development and enhancement of the Belarusan-Venezuelan cooperation in many areas" – Lukashenka says.
