Swedish civil society organisation Forum Syd: Belarus Grants Programme

Forum Syd has been working in Belarus since 1998. The present Grants Programme is a continuation of our efforts for development of a pluralistic, strong, democratic civil society in the country.

Forum Syd Belarus Grants Programme aims to support projects conducted by civil society organisations, informal groups and initiatives in Belarus in fields of culture, civic education, civic participation, democracy, human rights, environment and gender equality.

The Programme is open for Belarusian organisations as well as partnerships between Swedish and Belarusan organisations.

Which organisations may apply for funding?

• Applying organisations must be non-profit, non-political, non-religious and work towards democratic development based on the equal value of all people and respect for human rights.
• Belarusan organisations, groups or initiatives should have existed no less than one year (registration within the Belarusan authorities is not required).
• Swedish organisations should check if they are eligible for Forum Syd’s funding on the home site www.forumsyd.org.

How to apply?

To apply, send filled enclosed application form, this way your project will be taken into consideration for grant immediately.

If you are applying for grant up to 10.000 euro use "Concept note" format, if for more than 10.000 euro use the "Application" format.

You can write in English, Russian and Belarusan.

Time frame:

Applications or concept notes should be sent no later than 15^th of March 2015.

Duration of projects applied for this call should not exceed August 2016.
